Marco Caiazza was born in Naples in 1976 and start young the study of the classical guitar with the father. He graduated with the Highest Honors at the Conservatory “S. Pietro a Majella” in Naples, and then the Second Level Academic Diploma (solo address) with 110 cum Laude at the Conservatory of Music “G. Martucci” di Salerno. After winning several international competitions, he has embarked on an intense concert activity, alternating with that of the composer, and arranger.

In 2016, a record label dotGuitar he released his first album, “Medallón Antiguo”, dedicated to the guitarist-composer paraguayan Agustín Barrios-Mangoré. The disk is welcomed with enthusiasm by the critics and earned him the prestigious “Chitarra d'oro for best album of the year” at the XXII International Conference of the Guitar of Alexandria. In 2017, the Ut Orpheus Editions published, in two volumes, the revisions of the integral of the Studies, Preludes, Agustín Barrios-Mangoré. In the same year released his second album, “Agustín Barrios – complete Studies and Preludes”, label dotGuitar (5 stars on MUSIC and SEICORDE). In 2019 the public, as composer and performer, his third album, “Remembrance”, which received with interest and enthusiasm by the critics (of 5 stars on SEICORDE, and GUITART). In 2020, the PVR music, and released the EP, “Moon”, with his original compositions for piano and CD's, “Marco Caiazza plays Bach, with his transcriptions published by the publishing house Volonte & Co (5 stars on GUITART and disc of the month on dotGuitar).

Considered by Lady susan Walton, wife of the famous English composer William Walton, “...one of the best performers of the Five Bagatelles for guitar”, in 2000 he has participated in the recording of a Documentary Video for the Walton Foundation, and in 2001 he performed at Ischia in the “Friends of the Philharmonia Orchestra”, a concert sponsored by the Philharmonia Orchestra of London.

He has recorded for Rai Radio3, and has played at major International Festivals, such as the Gliwice Guitar Festival in Gliwice, in Poland and the Evmelia International Music Festival in Greece. Always greeted by unanimous acclaim from critics and the public, his interpretations of the “Concierto de Aranjuez” for Guitar and Orchestra by Joaquin Rodrigo, performed at prestigious concert halls.

In 2021, the scientific committee of the International Conference Guitar Milan gives it the prestigious award of “Guitar of Gold to the Teaching”, in recognition of the many statements of his students in the international field.

He is currently a professor of guitar at the Conservatory of Music “A. Scarlatti” di Palermo.
